Superman: Man of Steel Coming to Chicago

Chicago continues to make a name for itself in big budget action flicks as it grabs a piece of the Superman reboot. While most of the principle photography is set for Vancouver, the huge action sequences will be shot here. The reason: access to military hardware. We apparently can get the cargo planes and attack helicopters necessary along with an aircraft carrier and fighter jets.

Chi Town has played host to several huge blockbusters of late, standing in for Gotham City in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. This summer will see destruction rain down on the Windy City in Transformers 3: Dark Side of the Moon. I am so excited. I had tons of fun watching them film both Dark Knight and Transformers 3.

Two Popular Female Characters Get A Reboot

Two iconic female characters have gotten reboots in light of two new films. Miss Marple, the older, spinsterish creation of Agatha Christie, will be played by none other than Jennifer Garner. Garner, who will also produce, and Walt Disney Studios will re-invent the literary crime solver for a younger, hipper audience with a script by Twin Peaks writer Mark Frost. Miss Marple's most famous outing to date was perhaps the 1980 film, The Mirror Crack'd starring Angela Lansbury in the pivotal role and co-starring Hollywood luminaries Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and Tony Curtis.

Superman Man Of Steel: Zimmer to Score New Reboot

With news still bleak on the upcoming reboot one thing that is bound to shock fans of the previous Superman outings is that John Williams famous Superman score has been thrown out to make way for Hans Zimmer to bring to the table something new.
Zimmer composed the score for Batman Begins and the Dark Knight, and with Christopher Nolan producing the 2012 reboot of Superman, it comes as no real surprise he would approach the man who did such an amazing job with the score on Nolan’s massive Batman movies.
