"Shall we play a game?" Those words proved to be the world's most terrifying syllables in the visionary 1983 movie WarGames. As teen hackers David and Jennifer, Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy found a back door into a military computer program thinking only to play games. What they found nearly launched WWIII. The film was directed by John Badham of Saturday Night Fever fame and co-starred Dabney Coleman, Barry Corbin and John Wood.

Bad Teacher: A Salacious, Irreverent Good Time
There are very few comedies on this Earth that crack me up from start to finish. Bad Teacher has joined that select list and takes its place with such films as Caddyshack, Zombieland and The Big Lebowski. Served up raw and dirty, Bad Teacher had me laughing so hard, I know I missed some parts. It is a wild, obscene riot. From the cast to the dialogue to the outrageous situations, I was howling the entire time. And I do not as rule, enjoy comedies all that much. I mean let’s face it, half the time the funniest parts are all in the trailer.

First Look At The Hobbit
Check this out... Here's a first look at some of the production shots from The Hobbit films just released to Entertainment Weekly. My anticipation is building like crazy. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is scheduled to hit theaters on December 14, 2012 while The Hobbit: There and Back Again will follow on December 13, 2013. They are on a 254 day shoot in New Zeland, which is 12 days shy of the Lord of the Rings shoot. And they're only doing 2 movies this time. LOL just 540 days to go for all you Tolkien LOTR geeks out there like me.
Here's Peter Jackson with Martin Freeman as Bilbo. Word is from Jackson that Freeman has the biggest Hobbit feet ever and it's been difficult for him to master the Hobbit walk.

Green Lantern: A Light That Shines, But Not So Very Bright
There are those summer blockbusters that get you all excited, only to let you down like a snapped elevator cable, while there are those that blow all your expectations out of the water. Then there is Green Lantern. This movie falls short of the excitement level, but neither does it really disappoint. It is a good, solid movie with lots of potential that never gets realized.

Super 8 Equals Super Thrilling
Young Joe Lamb wants to spend the summer of 79 hanging out with his friends, making their zombie movie and forgetting the horrific death of his mother. Things are going according to plan until he and his friends witness the derailment of a secret military train. All of a sudden, strange occurrences crop up. All the dogs run away, there are rolling blackouts and more ominously people begin to disappear.

X-Men: First Class : In A Class By Itself
I had been dying to see this film since it had first been announced so I was filled with excitement and more than a hint of trepidation as the Nephew and I filed into the theater. I had been screwed over before when my expectations were so high. Not today, though.
From the opening shot, X-Men: First Class raised the bar and threw down the gauntlet to all other superhero films before and still to come. Matthew Vaughn and crew have delivered a high octane, deeply emotional and provocative movie. There is so much complexity to this film, that at times one almost forgets it’s a superhero flick. It has the feel of great, character-driven drama.
